The Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is back!
Starting from 17 June to 21st June, Japanese movies will be screened at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) Midvalley, and at 1Utama’s New Wing, and it will hit Penang on the 25th to 27th June at GSC Gurney Plaza.
This is the 7th annual JFF to be held in Malaysia, and is organized by Golden Screen Cinemas, the Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur and GSC International Screens, collaborating with the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur and Consulate-General of Japan in Penang.
These films are in Japanese audio, which means that you will be relying on subtitles. Fear not, the subtitles are very reliable and intelligible. This is coming from a person who goes to JFFs, so trust me.
With that being said, there are eight movies that will be screened. All of them had been premiered at film festivals, and has either won an award/awards or has been nominated. And you know that if a movie has won or is nominated for an award, it is good.
To top it all off, GSC is giving away complimentary passes! Simply access their site here, click the link that says complimentary passes, print it and present it to GSC MidValley and, voila! You have redeemed (read: free) movie tickets!
Isn’t that awesome?
Do note that complimentary passes are up or grabs for a limited time only!
