That's right gals and guys, the biggest movers and shakers of the online shopping industry is growing and grooving their way to the spot light of Malaysia! A&O Brandbuilding Consultants bring to you, the major gathering of the internet sweethearts and rock stars on the 13th to the 15th of August 2010, from 11 am until 9 pm at Mid Valley Megamall's Exhibition Centre (Hall 3)
A competition to vote for your favorite blog shops are currently being held, with just a click of a button you can decide which blog shop is deemed worthy of this esteemed title! With an Iphone application launched and many press releases, rest assured, this event is sure to be more than just noticed! ;)

The main motives of this event is to cultivate, inspire and encourage fellow entrepreneurs to break out of their shells -and in my opinion- to snag a couple of great bargains. ;) And don't forget, to give back to the society, the official beneficiary is Taman Megah Handicapped & Disabled Children's Home.

With over 80 booths, 4,000 fans reached in a short time of 2 weeks, and 200,000 hits on the official website thus far in June 2010 -and this is the only the beginning. ;)

What to expect? Many great things I say -because we internet/fashion addicts are definitely not shy to keep great things to ourselves!

By Rosanna Lee

Fancy spending your weekend petting adorable kitties, puppies and all sorts of imaginable creatures mingling together under one roof? Whether you’re a pet lover, hobbyist or perhaps an aspiring trader in the pet business industry, it doesn’t matter because from 25th to 27th June 2010, the 3rd Malaysian International Pets and Aquatics Exhibition (Pet World 2010) will see people nation-wide and pet enthusiasts across the sea attend this momentous event . Held at Mid Valley Megamall Exhibition Centre, this event is expected to generate an average of 25,000 visitors!

Endorsed by the Ministry of Agriculture, the event starts from 10.00 a.m. till 9 p.m. and entry charges are RM5 per adult and RM3 per child. Expect beauty pageants, beauty dress, mini games, dog tricks and many more enjoyable activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. Aside from that, there are also many traders who will be selling their wares over there too so who knows you may find something that may tickle your fancy like a cute fur collar for your dearest pooch, or perhaps you can pamper your cat with some delightful kitty treats that you may not see in your local pet shop.

Also, you can bring your beloved pets out for the day and allow them to parade among their furry friends as well as socialize with other pet owners as after all, part of the thrill of being at a pet show is to meet and befriend other animal enthusiasts too :)

Listen Up!

What’s an event without a theme song?

Yes, it’s the FIFA 2010 World Cup official album! This is a joint effort studio album, by both international artiste and local South African artiste, too.

Honestly, the only FIFA theme I could remember is Ricky Martin and his ‘Cup of Life song (with gratuitous ‘bon-bon’shaking) and the legendary Queens’ ‘We Are the Champions’ classic. But for this year’s event, we have Shakira!

Her song, Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) is a catchy song, with poppy, upbeat tunes and lyrics. This song features Freshlygrounds, a band that provided the amazing, traditional South African beats, into an amazing fusion of modern pop and traditional and authentic.

This album introduces Nneka, a Nigerian artist, with her track ‘Viva Africa’. It’s a fast paced rock, with kids singing the chorus. It definitely captures the spirit of the game, and the pride of the land.

‘One Day’ is another of my favourites, performed by Matisyahu featuring Nameless. By the way, Matisyahu, is an American Jewish singer. Talk about international collaboration! It’s a slow song, a slow number with positive messages on peace and love.

This album is not just for football fans, it caters for those non-footie fans, too. (I have never liked football). It offers an amazing line up of artists and songs – Nneka is simply amazing; Claudia Leitte has a strong voice; artists which you’ve never heard, but their tracks are just good; songs makes you feel like dancing and anticipate the next game. It has a mix of genres, which offers even more variety: slow, pop, reggae, choir-like background singers.

I think this album captures the excitement of the game; the euphoria of the crowds, the patriotism and nationalism exhibited by football players and fans: pride for your own country

Viva Africa!

Dress Me Up!

Dr. Pizzicato

La Femme
Sometimes laces are hard to pull off. I mean, too much you will come off as either a hooker or your grandmother's coasters. Too little, people will hardly notice so what is the point? A significantly right amount will radiate the mysterious yet sensual aura, which is definitely a plus point!

This top is soft looking with their pastel colors. Suitable for your working place and a stroll at the park. It has an uber sophisticated yet sexy look, yes? We like this piece. Definitely a must have. For only RM47!

------------------------------------

Clothes Bucket

Floral Applique
So I've said it once, I will say it again. Floral is in. Its not just because of mother nature either. Girly and soft, besides, we all can go a little green -in a sense- no? Floral prints aside, a little accentuation doesn't hurt either. With a gorgeous neckline and soft prints, I think this top is fabulously girly yet street chic worthy!

What a steal! Its only RM40!

-----------------------------------

Le Mode Maison

Lizzy

Colors are a way to show your confidence! These eye grabbing colors that just pops are just the outfit for any fun day out in the sun! Its casual enough for a stroll with the girls in the mall and mod looking enough for any semi formal function! Because its plain without any prints, you can match it with any accessory of your choice and girl, you are ready to go! ;)

Yours for only RM35!

---------------------------------------

Vogue Nation

Femme Fatale

Of pencil and high waisted skirts, we think this is quite awesome. A good high waisted skirt should fit well and have a nice cut to compliment your bum. Usually you would fine these skirts to be in neutral colors because they are supposed to compliment the top (we suggest, for this season -go floral) This piece went slightly off the normal white and went to the grayish side.

We like! White sometimes just screams too safe. Gray is what we call, dancing on the edgy line. Its almost white, but edgy enough to be worn on the streets and tell people: 'hey, I mean business!' Interested? Its only for RM48!

Bohemian Rhapsody

By Rosanna Lee

Aside from florals that has been dominating the fashion stage for the past few seasons, it’s good to know that exotic prints and coloured patterns are making their way back into the runway with a grand entrance too!

Boho chics can now rejoice as the return of maxi dresses, loose-fitting blouses and earth-themed accessories allows us to set aside the floral rompers, denim shirts and bandage skirts for once. After all, the perks of being a boho chic is that you are free to mix and match whatever you feel like wearing, unleashing the free-spirited independent woman who’s not afraid of what others think of her.

Here a few picks that we think would appeal the inner gypsy in you ;)

Wild prints are the latest offering from Younique Trio and get yours for only RM36. Currently they are running a promotion whereby those who have accessed and liked their FB page are automatically entitled a 10% discount on all items. So then, what are you waiting for ;)

Maxi dresses are great for casual days and dressy nights depending on how you style it, be it with a pair of gladiators or a glam pair of heels. Invest in this summer outfit by purchasing yours from Curvy Queens Closet at only RM59.

Monochrome prints are back in demand and we could not resist this alluring number that comes with a playful sexyback. With 3 different prints to choose from, you will have a hard time deciding which one to snap up! Definitely the not for the faint-hearted, give this a go at only RM42 from mango + Orangie.

We spotted this beautiful stunner too at RM59, a steal considering that the colour is simply unique and classy :) Invest in your bohemian get-up from here at MilkTee Boutique :D

Earthy and kitschy at the same time, it’s a dress that will help you breeze through hot Malaysian weather. Yours for only RM67 at MilkTee Boutique. Do you know that they are one of the few blog-shops that comes with a return policy? Now you can shop with full confidence and push aside your worries when it comes to shopping online.
